The Cape Bulldog Club was founded in 1923. The CBC is situated in Cape Town, South Africa. It currently has over 150 bulldog owner members on roll.

It is one of the most active dog enthusiasts' clubs in South Africa. The CBC organises and hosts two Dog Shows each year, a NON-CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW in April and a CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW in September. A Club magazine, The Sourmug, is published twice a year, with articles of interest and practical value on owning, breeding and showing bulldogs.
